I started my music education in the second grade with piano lessons and then in 6th grade I started playing flute. After years of lessons, classes and summer camps I decided that I wanted to major in music. So, I went to SMU in Dallas and became a music major. After four years there I moved to Los Angeles and got my Masters in Flute Performance from USC.
I have taught just about everything - private flute, group flute, private piano, group piano, music theory, recorder, music history, public school and now I homeschool my own children. I also teach childbirth classes in the Bradley Method®. Once I even taught an Oscar-winning actress how to look like she was playing flute for a movie.
In 2008 discovered Simply Music® through a music teacher's yahoo group. I fell in love with it from the very beginning. The success that my students have realized has convinced me that there is just no other way I would ever teach piano. As an accredited Simply Music teacher, I have the tools to help everyone find their "inner musician" - even those who are convinced that they don't have a musical bone in their body.
